5th graders say "Hola" to veggie enchiladas during a classroom field trip to be Healthy Institute of Hamburg
One of Union Pleasant's 5th grade classrooms took a walking field trip to one of Hamburg's most innovative new businesses -- be Healthy Institute. The students took part in a hands-on culinary experience. They helped make fresh guacamole featuring avocado, tomatoes, onion, garlic and cilantro. They also tasted homemade corn tortilla veggie enchiladas filled with shredded summer squash, zucchini, carrots and black beans. They tried carrot, celery and apples freshly juiced by Jill Chiacchia, owner and founder of be Healthy. It was a delicious and healthy field trip!!
